Lifeskills 23.4.14

On Wednesday afternoon Year 6  attended ‘Lifeskills’ at The Create Centre.  Lifeskills is an interactive safety education centre, built as a realistic village, which has been developed to teach people how to deal with potentially difficult or dangerous situations, whilst in a safe environment.  We learnt a lot about keeping ourselves safe, but also had fun.

Easter School April 2014

Well done to all the year 6s that attended Easter School for the full four days on offer. We had a great turn out so to celebrate and reward the hard work of the children we all went mini-golfing on the last afternoon!  We also managed to get a free Easter Egg and rabbit mask on the way back to school!

Year 6 Spelling Bee - 1/4/14

On the 1st of April Year 6 were invited to take part in a 'SATs' Spelling Bee at St Werburghs Primary School.  Also taking part were the year 6 pupils from St Werburghs, St Barnabas and Gelnfrome - all part of the 4learning partnership.  The top five spellers in the class were chosen to represent our school and class, the rest of the class supported their class mates by being a fantastic audience.  Although we didn't win this time, our spellers showed fantastic confidence by performing in front of so many pupils and teachers - Well done spellers!
